Daytona Beach News-Journal: One Daytona lands 4 Rivers Smokehouse

DAYTONA BEACH — It’s official. Popular Central Florida barbecue restaurant chain 4 Rivers Smokehouse is coming to One Daytona.

While the opening date for the chain’s permanent new location here is set for December/January, Daytona Beach area residents will be able to sample some of its dishes at a 4 Rivers food truck that will be at One Daytona for special events starting with the Funtoberfest on Oct. 12 and Biketoberfest Oct. 17-20.

One Daytona developer International Speedway Corp. announced the addition of 4 Rivers as the entertainment/shopping/dining complex’s newest tenant following the signing of a lease agreement by the restaurant chain’s founder John Rivers to take over the former standalone restaurant building previously occupied by Oklahoma Joe’s Bar-B-Cue, which closed in May.

“As we approach the 10th anniversary of the opening of the very first 4 Rivers Smokehouse in Winter Park, the entire 4R family is excited to expand our barbecue ministry to the world-class entertainment complex at One Daytona,” said John Rivers, in a news release.
